Easily monitor the nesting behaviors of specific bluebirds with the Conservation Western Bluebird House with Observation Viewing Window. Robust, pine shelter has been specifically designed to house western and mountain bluebirds, which prefer a slightly larger nesting space. 1.5625" diameter opening caters to this species, and an extra thick pine block around it deters predators from reaching into the home. One side opens upward and has a clear plexiglass panel beneath it, for monitoring nesting behaviors. The opposite side also opens for maintenance. Gaps in each corner of the generous base provide drainage, while the sloping roof directs rain away from the entry. A metal hanger and pilot hole on the back of the shelter encourages mounting to a wall, fence, or tree. The 0.75" thick pine construction remains robust for many seasons of use.
