The top and bottom areas of this house are filled with bamboo tubes and drilled wood cylinders, which will attract solitary bees such as mason bees and leaf-cutter bees. These native North American bees are non-aggressive "super pollinators," meaning they are 30-60 times more effective at pollinating than honey bees. The middle area of this hotel also features horizontal slats, which accommodate lacewings: a natural predator to pest insects and pest larvae.
