The bottom, 8” diameter dish holds 0.75 quarts of fruit, mealworms, suet nuggets, or seed, inviting a bevy of different birds to dine. A 12” diameter dome fully covers this dish, protecting it from the elements, while drainage holes on the base tray help feed remain dry and fresh. A metal rod supports the dome, and a wing nut and washer help keep it in place. Raise or lower this wing nut on the rod to alter the placement of the dome, to further protect seed from squirrels or larger birds. Unscrew the base tray from this metal rod to clean or refill the piece, and use the hook at the top of the rod to hang the item from a bracket or branch. Its plastic construction withstands exposure to the elements throughout the year, and the clear finish allows you to see all the avian activity.
