This highly detailed beach house is a perfect nesting spot for backyard birds! 

The west coast getaway, Santa Cruz is known for its moderate climate, redwood forests, the natural beauty of its coastline and its boardwalk amusement park operating continuously since 1907! Handsome cottages that flank the beach are the inspiration for this fully functional birdhouse. Topped with a pine shingled roof, this green house with beige window frames and door has a 1-1/4” entry hole, drainage, ventilation and a removable back door for easy cleaning. Perfect for small nesting songbirds such as wrens, chickadees, titmice, nuthatches and others. The house is adorned with window, door and molding details plus a short front porch supported by wooden scrollwork brackets.

Constructed of exterior grade ply-board, poly resin details, pine shingles for the roof and a non-toxic outdoor paint. To preserve the natural beauty, we recommend applying a non-yellowing polyurethane finish over the paint.

Climate and the elements will weather the house and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the house’s natural charm without compromising its function.
