Nectar-Aid™ is designed to make homemade nectar preparation and storage very simple and convenient. Nectar-Aid™ eliminates the need to remember hummingbird or oriole nectar recipes and allows you to make just as much nectar as you will typically use in a week.
To use Nectar-Aid™, simply place the container divider in the designated slot for hummingbird or oriole nectar – fill the sugar and water compartments to the same level – remove the divider and use it to thoroughly stir the nectar. If desired, heat the nectar solution in the microwave. Be sure and let it cool afterwards and before filling your feeder. You can store the extra nectar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
With Nectar-Aid: Hummingbird Nectar will always be 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. Oriole Nectar will always 1 part sugar to 6 parts water, as recommended by Ornithologists.
