The wide, pine slats create a classic, rectangular abode, while an overhanging roof protects the interior from the elements. Metal covers this roof for further style, and the 5" diameter entry hole is perfectly sized for barred or tawny owls. The front panel lifts upward for cleaning, and a gap between this panel and the roof provides ventilation. The slatted base not only offers the birds plenty of nesting area; it also prevents water from accumulating. Add hardware or drill through the back of this home to mount it against a tree or wall for optimal placement. The pine and metal construction remains durable for many seasons, and the soft green hue offsets nearby foliage.
