Constructed of durable eco-friendly recycled poly lumber - Will not rot, crack, peel or fade.  Built to last a lifetime!

This house is designed with Northern Flickers in mind, with a single room interior, a 3" entrance hole, and an 8.5" H X 9" W clear acrylic shield in order to keep other birds such as starlings and sparrows out. The house has a slanted front, allowing the flickers to climb up it as they would a tree. This Northern Flicker house also boasts engraved grip grooves and a decorative bird on a tree branch motif which help the flickers easily climb into the house. This house may be used by other woodpecker species. 

Made of fade resistant and weather resistant recycled poly lumber, this Northern Flicker House will withstand wear and tear from its occupants as well as withstand the elements in your area. Your Northern Flicker House comes included with 2 bags of pine shavings for nesting material. The gradual slant and overhang of the roof lets rain glide off instead of going into the house where the nest could get saturated. The small cut outs on the sides of the house act as ventilation openings to promote airflow. Mounting screws will also be provided to easily attach your house to the tree. The recommending mounting location for this house is in a dead or alive tree near the edge of crop fields and pastures about 10' - 20' off the ground. Proudly made in the USA!
