Description

Clinging birds love dining here!

Forged Hanging Hook Included!

Our Sphere feeder builds on the complimentary sister products in our line. The sphere shape of the feed vessel is topped by a graceful stoneware roof. Large wire-wound feed basket is self draining and finished with durable powder coating. The stoneware roof is produced in high-fired stoneware with reactive glaze. Easy to refill the feeder. Just lift the roof, pour in new seed, and lower the roof back in place. Cleaning is minimal. Each Sphere feeder includes our attractive hand-forged steel hanging hook. This versatile hook can be screwed into a vertical surface or hung from a tree branch, making it easy for you to place the feeder in the ideal location. Holds 2 quarts of seed, peanuts or suet pellets.

Birds that use this feeder include cardinals, chickadees, finches, flickers, goldfinches, grackles, grosbeaks, jays, juncos, kinglets, nuthatches, redpolls, siskins, sparrows, starlings, titmice, towhees, woodpeckers, and wrens

Dimensions: 9"L x 9"W x 10"H; Weight: 3.5 lbs.

Alcyon Porcelain Bird Feeder

Alcyon Porcelain Pagoda Bird Feeder Cobalt Blue shown above with versatile forged hanging hook that can be used for both hanging on a tree limb or permanently mounted on a vertical surface such as a deck rail or 4x4 post.

Hanging Tips

Different species of birds prefer to nest at different heights. Most birds likely to use these feeders nest between 6 and 15 ft off the ground. Feeders should be mounted at least 6 feet off the ground to deter predators and pests. It is important to hang the feeder in a location that is not in the direct afternoon sun. Mounting on the north or east side of a tree or post will usually avoid direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day.

Care and Cleaning Tips

Slide the porcelain roof up the hanging wire and remove seed. Use hot water, dish soap and a soft brush to clean the feeder (no harsh cleaners or bleach). Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry completely before refilling and hanging. Though the feeder is frost-proof, it is recommended it be taken in for the winter months after the fall cleaning.
