Description

Clinging birds love dining here!

Made of quality, heavy-duty stoneware!

One-of-a-kind porcelain splendor brings new beauty and function to birdfeeding. Thanks to a reactive glaze, no two Alcyon porcelain feeders are the same. Durable porcelain handles weather extremes and resists squirrel damage. Self-draining base. Includes steel hanging cable for hanging. Holds 1.5 quarts. Available in Grass Green, Sky Blue, or Sunset Red.

Birds that use this feeder include cardinals, chickadees, finches, flickers, goldfinches, grackles, grosbeaks, jays, juncos, kinglets, nuthatches, redpolls, siskins, sparrows, starlings, titmice, towhees, woodpeckers, and wrens

Hanging Tips

Different species of birds prefer to nest at different heights. Most birds likely to use these feeders nest between 6 and 15 ft off the ground. Feeders should be mounted at least 6 feet off the ground to deter predators and pests. It is important to hang the feeder in a location that is not in the direct afternoon sun. Mounting on the north or east side of a tree or post will usually avoid direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day.

Care and Cleaning Tips

Slide the porcelain roof up the hanging wire and remove seed. Use hot water, dish soap and a soft brush to clean the feeder (no harsh cleaners or bleach). Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry completely before refilling and hanging. Though the feeder is frost-proof, it is recommended it be taken in for the winter months after the fall cleaning.
