The Rubicon North American Bluebird Society (NABS) Approved Nesting Box isn't just a great house for bluebirds, it's also eco-friendly. Made from 32 recycled milk jugs, the plastic lumber construction helps keep plastic out of landfills and prevent deforestation and destruction of natural bluebird habitats. This house's design also features many details that make it a perfect choice for your bluebirds: ventilation slots under the roof help regulate the temperature to a safe level for nestlings, the sloping roof and inside drainage hole keep the house dry and comfortable, and a predator guard reinforces the perchless entrance hole to deter intruders. The incredibly durable plastic lumber will not fade, crack, peel, chip, rot, or warp with time. A side door unlatches to give you a peek into the nesting cavity. Inside the front panel, etched plastic serves as a ladder for fledglings.
