This convenient unit invites small, nut-eating birds into your garden, while preventing larger birds and squirrels from overtaking the feeder. An 8” diameter cage forms a barrier, its 1.875” tall and 1.125” wide, rectangular openings allowing only small birds to reach the seed tube. This 4.75” tall reservoir holds .53 lbs. of shelled peanuts or large sunflower seeds, which birds access through the 0.25” square mesh. A metal, base plate supports this reservoir, and its slightly raised, center section helps seed move toward the sides of the tube, preventing build-up. Drainage holes next to this raised portion help captured water exit the unit, for dry seed. A green, metal cap covers the seed, and lifts for quick and simple refilling. Two metal braces arch over the cap, attaching to the included, 3.25” long “S” hook for hanging. Place the included bracket against a post or wall for a more cohesive display.
