A significant green cage surrounds this tube feeder, creating a physical barrier meant to exclude squirrels and large birds. The 1.5" square openings create perching room for several birds, while preventing squirrels and larger birds from stealing seed. The feeder inside the cage easily holds 0.85 quarts of sunflower seed or mixed seed, while its clear plastic tube keeps seed levels in check. Birds peck and pull seed from four reinforced feeding stations, each with a metal perch beneath so they can rest while getting nourishment. An internal seed baffle at the base of the reservoir directs seed to the bottom ports, so the item empties completely without leaving a dirty residue. Simply slide the green die-cast metal cap up the hanger for quick, convenient cleaning and filling. A locking system prevents squirrels from lifting the feeder cap to pilfer seed. This feeder may be hung on the included metal loop hanger.
