The base of the bird house is made of a solid cellular vinyl, a wood alternative that gives you the look and feel of wood, with little maintenance. The end result is an architecturally pleasing birdhouse that looks like wood, but lasts like vinyl. The redwood roof is made to endure the elements year after year. The shingles will weather to a silvery gray. The top comes off for easy cleaning. This bird house comes with metal plate for post mounting. 1-1/2" arched entrance holes with perches attract bluebirds, wrens, chickadees, nuthatches, titmice and other small songbirds.
