Description

May the Bird of Paradise Fly up Your Nose!

Chick-a-dee Chet is a hoot! He has a bird in one hand and a pair of binoculars in the other. He is ready to see any bird that comes his way --- even the one that flies up his own nose!!! He is sure to be loved by birdwatchers and bird lovers everywhere.

These beautiful hand carved birdhouses, also known as "Bird Buddy's", are made from 100% aromatic western red cedar. They are the perfect nesting spot for small songbirds like wrens, chickadees, and nuthatches. Also finches if you have them. There is also a possibility you may attract sparrows or bluebirds. Each house has a bottom clean out box.

Our whimsical carved birdhouses catch the imagination of "Birders" all over the world, and they never fail to produce a smile and a chuckle when a bird flies into the character's nose and then turns and peeks out at you. Each birdhouse is hand carved and signed by Artisan and Master Carver Monte Spinker!

Made in the USA

Approximate Dimensions:  17"H x 9"W x 7"D

Use and Care Tips

Bird Buddy birdhouses are made from cedar. Cedar is durable when used outside and will weather well. Cedar will gray with time. To deter the graying process, you may use a water sealant, like Thompson's. Keep in mind, though, when using products like this, the smell will deter the birds from building until the odor dissipates. So, if you plan to seal your birdhouse, you need to do it when it is not nesting time.

Keep in mind that all our birdhouses are carved with wood. Wood does have flaws from time to time. Each piece is made with love and given special attention to detail. We think of the flaws in wood as special characteristics of nature and try to bring them to life in our pieces.

So which house do the birds like the best? It seems like that choice is up to you!!! They seem to like whichever piece of “birdie architecture” you choose!
