The dramatic Nantucket Colonial Birdhouse might be seen overlooking the dunes of "Sconset" or maybe looks like your next-door neighbor's house. Birds will love the commanding view from the widow's walk or will most certainly enjoy pushing the fledglings out of this 3-story masterpiece. The house is big so it will require a post mounting or one of our signature pedestals. Constructed of kiln-dried hardwood exterior grade ply-board and finished with an outdoor paint.
Topped with pine roof shingles and finished with an outdoor paint. Excellent drainage and ventilation. The back wall is removable for easy cleaning. 1-1/4" opening to allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches and titmice to nest. The Nantucket Colonial Birdhouse makes a wonderful gift for the backyard birding enthusiast!
Using only the finest materials available with a painstaking attention to detail, this bird house is handcrafted of kiln-dried hardwood, exterior grade plyboard, and non-toxic oil-based exterior paint. With proper maintenance, this bird house will provide years of enjoyment for both you and your feathered friends. The base of the house removes for convenient seasonal cleanouts.
Note: This item has been finished with a non-toxic oil-based paint. To preserve the natural beauty, we recommend applying a non-yellowing polyurethane finish over the paint.
Climate and the elements will weather the house and change its appearance over time; however, weathering will add to the house’s natural charm without compromising its function.
